Rep. Allen West: Schumer, Reid ‘Have Dug Their Heels In’ Don’t Want To Hear Budget Solutions

Video

Republican Congressman Allen West appeared with Greta Van Susteren last night to discuss the possibility of a government shutdown. While West suggested there is enough blame to go around amongst politicians of both parties for the fiscal crisis we are in, he singled out some Senate Democrats as “definitely being obstructionist in this process.”

West suggested:

“Mr. Schumer, Mr. Reid and Mr. Durbin, I think that they have dug their heels in and they don’t want to hear any type of solutions. And you have to also ask yourself who put us in this position with fiscal irresponsible policies – did not come up with a budget in the 111th Congress – but yet they continue to stonewall it and prevent us from moving forward.”

Greta also congratulated West for introducing a bill to eliminate waste in the Defense Department that passed unanimously and will save 35 million dollars in next year’s budget. Although it doesn’t seem like West’s willingness to talk tough here will earn him unanimous support on the larger budget debate.

Allen West is a good. His keynote speech at CPAC was great: http://www.therightscoop.com/allen-wests-keynote-speech-for-cpac-2011/

There are a lot of good up and coming conservatives out there. The Liberals seem to be stuck with the Schumer’s and Reid’s.

    Watch Allen’s speech!

Allen West needs to learn how government works (UpChuck Schumer). He’s just new and inexperienced. The rules are: Never change directions no matter what the results have been. He’ll learn.

Seriously, America will continue to suffer as long as Democrats are in Washington. End of story. How can anyone remain both honest and a Democrat unless you are on board with the undeniable course to destruction Democrats have put us on?

He already has proven he lacks judgement when he attempted to hire a talk radio host with a history of hateful comments including this one:

“If you commit a crime while you’re here, we should hang you and send your body back to where you came from, and your family should pay for it,” she said on the air in August 2007, referring to illegal immigrants, according to the Broward New Times.

So you now know what you can do with your video you ……..

  • Barack Must Go

The democrats are just a bunch of dupes blindly following the Soros doctrine of a new world order. That being one world economy with George controlling a 51% share of everything and everybody.

The question is, will the morally bankrupt liberals in this country wake up and smell the bullshit before it’s too late for my children and grandchildren?

To me this is the most compelling arguement against them being able to murder their unborn children on demand.

Their losing ( for us ” real ” Americans ) losing combitation of killing God and the unborn leaves this country perilessly close to extinction.

There will still be something here, it will just be so hideously grotesque, We the ” real ” American people will not even recognize it as America.

Sounds good to me. But since you’re trying to excuse criminal behavior by illegals you hope will vote for Demons in insinuating putting a stop to it to be racism, let me add the obvious. “Send the white, black, brown, yellow, or any other color of skin the guilty might have…..back to where you come from. I shouldn’t be too quick to turn Allen West into some sort of hero for some of the reasons discussed above. Additionally, he has shown several times he has a true “police state” mentality. This man’s flaws make the hero the right has now relegated to the dustbin, Ms. Palin, look very good indeed.

Still, I appreciate the irony. The most obstinate and intransigent of all Congressmen calling out others for being obstinate and intransigent.

A pox on all of them!

  • skyfet

Coming from him, it sounds like a freaking parody. Why would anyone listen or take someone who listen to the TP folks. They don’t appear to be reasonable to me, it’s like a fictional novel. It’s funny that the right wings are now living their fantasy, what is more surprising is that they expect everyone else to follow suit. It’s madness.

Col. West is clear about his moral compass and will be a force to be reckoned with. There are a lot of black conservatives who are tired of blacks being on the Democrat plantation- Herman Cain, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, J.C. Watts, and Star Parker, to name just a few. Why should blacks or Latinos just settle for the entitlements the elite of the Democrat party are willing to hand out to keep them voting Democrat? Perhaps they, too, would like the freedom to make their own destiny?

Being a Dim, you MUST call someone speaking the truth a “moron.” It’s just #3 of the “10 Commandments of the Democrat Playbook:”

“3. Whatever illegal and unethical thing Democrats are about to be exposed for doing, or are planning to do, instantly rush out and accuse Republicans of that exact infraction. Remember the 3 D’s. Distraction, diversion, and deception are our most powerful weapons.”

The Demons have done their best to ignore the voice of the people who spoke quite loudly last November. Only a Dim would be impressed with Demon offers to cut spending a fraction of a percent and calling it offering “an olive branch.”

In fact, Allen West has proven himself a leader in the face of insurmountable odds, willing to sacrifice personally for the privilege of upholding righteousness. He is correct in identifying Demons as unwilling to realistically reduce spending, knowing their voter base is bought and paid for off the backs of honest, working Americans, and the loss of those bought votes would render Demons cast out of America’s soul.

So, like I said, Unreasonable, Dims MUST call someone who speaks the TRUTH a “moron.” Because you have no other way to respond to TRUTH.

  • writer

Right, tatboy. I think Janeanne Garofalo said it best. Any disagreement with Obama is ‘racism, straight up’.

I should add that Demos are at full throttle in practicing Commandments #1, #5, and #7 in the 10 Commandments in the Democrat Playbook:

“1. Never concede a victory to Republicans, even if the nation suffers greatly as a result. If Republicans win an election, claim corruption and contest the outcome. Remember, no one has the right to be in power but Democrats. If all else fails, find an activist judge to overturn any Republican policy. Thwart the will of the people and the democratic process in any way necessary to get your way. Never forget………rules and civility are for wuss’s and not meant for you.

Always campaign against every Republican bill in Congress or any Republican idea, no matter what the benefit to America may be. Never agree with a Republican in public. Solidarity trumps truth and righteousness.”

“5. Always consider bi-partisanship, compromise and “fairness” also as weaknesses to exploit. Lure Republicans into the false sense of bi-partisanship that will lower their guard, and they will be easier to destroy when you spring the trap.”

“7. Never take sides against the Democrat Party leadership. Stand with your party NO MATTER WHAT. Always discourage the voters from considering the consequences of Democrat proposed legislation, and instead appeal to their stronger emotional urges. Remember to stir hatred, envy, and the divisiveness of class warfare, and you will “own” your voter base forever. Party first, country…….never. There is NO time this will not apply.”

It’s looking more and more like we need to review all 10.

My objection to Mr. West has far more to do with these quotes:

“Hospitals should refuse service to people who can’t produce their immigration documents.”

My thought: Wouldn’t letting an individual die because of immigration status violate the doctor’s oaths and basic premises of Western culture?

My additional thought: Who has to prove status? Anyone who looks Hispanic? Doesn’t that create a Second Class Citizenry in America?

“A nation goes to war against an ideology and that’s what we been talking about here today. We been talking about the fact that we are against something that is a totalitarian theocratic political ideology and it is called Islam.”

My thought: We fight an ideology and not an enemy? How does that work? Aren’t we having enough difficulty fighting terrorism and not a nation? What other ideologies do we fight?

“When one considers the travails of the Jewish people since the 7th century, it should bring shame upon the face of the world. These persecutions began with them being forced out of the Saudi peninsula and the Levant by muhammad [sic] and his successors.”

My thought: Why omit the Romans? Ahistorical?

I’m also troubled by this incident:

Army investigators learned that West participated in the August 2003 forcible interrogation of an Iraqi police officer thought to be involved in a plot to assassinate him and other soldiers. In their report, the investigators found that West directed four enlisted soldiers and a female civilian interpreter to punch and kick the Iraqi detainee repeatedly in an attempt to get information. The investigation also found that West brandished his pistol during the interrogation and fired it near the detainee’s head in a mock execution to scare the detainee into talking…Fourth Infantry Division commanding Gen. Raymond Odierno initially brought criminal charges against West, but a pretrial hearing officer recommended that those charges be dismissed. Instead, Odierno gave West an administrative punishment and fined him half a month’s pay for two months, or about $5,000. In spring 2004, West retired from the Army.

Now, this is exactly why West has become an American icon. The problem with your offering is that it conspicuously omits factors in order to make West (and Hussein) look like wild and crazy guys.

    1. West obtained intel that he knew the Iraqi knew about that ended up saving a squad of his men from the attack planned by the insurgents. Yea, West………..for doing the right thing in the face of the PC police.

    2. West immediately turned himself in after securing the safety of his men, admitted his breach of the PC Rules of Engagement, and resigned his commission so as to spare his country the spectacle of a legal fight.

Now, these two lil’ factors kinda make the rest of your deliberately incomplete report add-up, huh? Even your messiah recognized the foolishness of trying to demonize such an American hero.

“9. Always side with America’s enemies against her. Remember, you are both on the same side against American liberty manifested in capitalism. Find a way to present America’s enemies as “victims.” And remember to always describe treason as “patriotism.”

Yall’ go easy on King, he’s had a tough morning trying to spin a great American into a villain, somehow. It’s bound to be hard work trying to paint a defeat for terrorists as a “victory.” But then, that’s Demon commandment #6:

“6. Repeat a lie often enough for our voter base to accept it as truth. Always spin a defeat as a victory for your side and your opponent’s victory as a failure, no matter how uncomfortable you may be in doing so. Remember, our voters are emotional, not logical, and they easily led to think what we tell them to think, and repeat what we tell them to repeat.”

Looks like unemployment is not a concern in Washington unless it concerns them. We have upward of 8-million illegal aliens trespassers holding American jobs, and nearly 24-million legal Americans out of work. Somehow, this doesn’t seem to matter to Washington? Why? I think we all know the answer to that one. The Democratically held 111-Congress didn’t feel the necessity in passing a budget, so like most Liberals do, they passed it on to the 112-Congress. Their lack of responsibility is directly responsible for this mess yet, when the Republican held House, lead by Tea-Party members, do take responsibility, the Liberal dweebs would rather shut down the process than work to find a livable budget. The amount their fighting over is laughable when compared to the grossly-negligent national debt.
Maybe it’s time the Liberals take a good look at the extreme lack of leadership on this issue by Obimbo. All this clown can say is, “we’re willing to listen”? Watch for his usual “blame-game”, to start because that’s all this inept clown has.

That’s exactly right. Demons never concern themselves with the law, the will of the people, or election results. They will, however, use any means imaginable to force their will against America.
