The Rio Olympics Opening Ceremony Featured a Segment on Global Warming
If you aren’t watching the Olympics tonight, you may have missed the segment they devoted at the opening ceremony to global warming.
There was actually an Inconvenient Truth-like video presentation, a young man on the Olympics stage looking down and seeing a flower blooming, and narration provided by a bunch of different people, including Dame Judi Dench.
People were a little thrown by the climate change portion of the program:
