Anderson Cooper Memorializes Vegas Shooting Victims in Emotional Monologue
CNN’s Anderson Cooper took a moment on Monday night to pay tribute to those who were murdered last night during the attack on a music festival in Las Vegas.
After briefly addressing the latest details on the event which is now America’s worst mass killing by gun, Cooper dedicated his opening remarks to 9 of the deceased concert-goers who have been identified by investigators. “Nine names, nine stories, sadly not the last,” Cooper remarked in dismay.
Cooper made a point of not bringing up the shooter’s name or face during his opener. Even though CNN affirmed the killer’s identity in their previous coverage throughout the day, Cooper explained himself later in the broadcast by saying “mass killers deserve no such publicity.”
