View Hosts Taken Aback By Trump Selling Bibles: ‘It’s Blasphemous!’

Hosts of The View were gobsmacked at news that Donald Trump is now selling Bibles.

The former president announced this week that he’s selling the God Bless the U.S.A. Bible in partnership with musician Lee Greenwood in an effort to “make America pray again.”

“Okay, I don’t know…Anybody?” a shocked Whoopi Goldberg said on Wednesday.

“The last time he was on his knees, he was picking up a french fry,” Joy Behar offered.

Sara Haines described the effort as “pandering” and cited past “pandering” by Trump, including selling gold sneakers and tweeting an image of himself eating a taco bowl on Cinco de Mayo in 2016.

“It’s pandering. It comes on the heels on him deciding that he could get the Black vote by producing golden sneakers, or do you remember the unforgettable tweet about the taco bowls where it was happy Cinco de Mayo. ‘The best are made in Trump Tower grill. I love Hispanics.’ So, there’s that,” Haines said.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former communications official in Trump’s administration, took offense at the price of the God Bless the U.S.A. Bible.

“He’s selling these for $60, and I’m a Christian, and as soon as I heard that price tag, I think of the persecuted Christians around the world who risk their lives to have one page of the Bible to read scripture in places like China, Saudi Arabia, Syria where you can’t practice your faith openly and he’s using it to profit off of,” she said. “That tells you all you need to know about the man.”

Sunny Hostin declared later, “It’s blasphemous!”

“It’s so many things,” Goldberg said. “It’s not even worth it anymore.”
