‘Shut Up, Fat Ass’: Johnny Depp Hurls Insults at Amber Heard After Allegedly Putting Cigarette Out on Her in Audio Played in Courtroom

Audio recordings played in court during Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation trial have offered a detailed look into the former couple’s explosive fights.

During Heard attorney Ben Rottenborn’s cross-examination of Depp, her legal team aired clips showing the actor hurling insults at his ex-wife as she accuses him of putting a cigarette out on her.

“Go put your fucking cigarettes out on someone else!” Heard says in one recording played in court Monday. “You fucking have consequences for your actions!”

Depp replies to Heard, “Shut up, fat ass.”

The clips were aired in an attempt to prove Depp abused Heard during their marriage. Heard’s attorney noted that Depp never denied putting the cigarette out on her in the recording.

“There’s no way under the sun I would flick a cigarette at her or burn her,” Depp later said while being questioned by his own reporters. “That’s ludicrous.”

In another recording played by Rottenborn in court, Depp can be heard calling his ex-wife a “fucking c*nt.”

Other records show him warning of a “bloodbath” if their argument continued.

“The next move, if I don’t walk away … it’s going to be a bloodbath, like it was on the island,” Depp says on the recording, referring to an altercation they had while in Australia.

Depp can also be Heard telling the actress that he sometimes needs to walk away from their fights, prompting her to tell him that it often makes the altercation worse.

“I’m asking you to work it out over prolonging it and making it bigger,” Heard says in the recording.

“But if things get heated, and it looks like it’s going somewhere nasty, and the name-calling begins, and all that stuff, I have got to get away,” Depp replies.

Texts shown in court also featured the former couple joking about the title of James St. James’ 1999 memoir Disco Bloodbath: A Fabulous but True Tale of Murder in Clubland.

“Is it about last Friday night, by any chance?” Heard joked, to which Depp replied, “How can you make me smile about such a hideous moment??? Yes, it is … Funny bitch. I fuc”ing love you, you c*nt!!!”
