WATCH: Taylor Swift Not Amused By Jo Koy Joke On Her NFL Attention During Golden Globes

Comic Jo Koy hosted the 81st Golden Globe Awards on CBS Sunday night and got viral pretty quick for a joke about Taylor Swift and the NFL. But not because it was hilarious or had everyone laughing.

Swift’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has caused some strong feelings in NFL circles, with some fans complaining about how much camera time the worldwide star and Person of the Year was getting when attending games.

Koy, who also had a few rocky moments in his opening monologue, did a quick joke about the pseudo-controversy after the awards show came back from a commercial break, and it didn’t go over big with Swift.

“As you know, we came on after a football double-header,” said Koy. “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? On the Golden Globes we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift. I swear. There’s just more to go to here.”

The singer picked up her drink and slowly took a sip with a look of less than amused on her face.

“Sorry about that,” said Koy after the joke before moving on to the next presenters.

Social media lit up quickly in response to the wisecrack and it’s fair to say Koy did not have fans among Swifties.

Swift’s film “Taylor Swift: The Era’s Tour” is nominated for a Golden Globe award on Sunday in the category “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement” and if she wins will be the first to ever receive the award in the brand new category.
