Weekend Update Anchors Have Epic Reunion ‘Joke-Off’ With Amy Poehler Tina Fey And Seth Meyers

Saturday Night Live “Weekend Update” anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che hosted an epic reunion with past anchors Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, and Seth Meyers for a “Joke-Off.”

This week’s edition of Saturday Night Live marked the second episode of the sketch comedy mainstay’s 51st season. The host was SNL alum Amy Poehler, hosting for the first time since 2015 and her third time since leaving the cast.

In honor of Poehler’s return, SNL posted a blooper reel from her time co-anchoring Weekend Update:

Also this week, Role Model was the musical guest. From SNL:

Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, will be making his SNL debut, during which fans are keeping their fingers crossed that he’ll perform his hit song, “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.” The big question is: Who will get to play Sally and join him on stage? Bowen Yang has already done it once, but that doesn’t mean he can’t reprise the role? We’ll just have to tune in to find out!

Tonight’s episode airs exactly 50 years after SNL premiered on October 11, 1975, and while the major celebrations went down in February, you might as well keep it going with a toast to a well-earned birthday.

Next week’s host and musical guest will be Sabrina Carpenter pulling double duty.

COLIN JOST: What did I do to everyone? A woman in Tennessee broke a hospital record after giving birth to a 13-pound baby. It’s the first baby to ever bust out saying, oh, yeah!

AMY POEHLER: Okay, whoa, whoa whoa whoa. I’ve been here. You’re out here all night. You don’t have to cheer for me, but…

AMY POEHLER: I can’t believe I got a picture of that one! Good luck. Yeah.

TINA FEY: Oh, somebody said, Weekend Update Joke-Off?

AMY POEHLER: My first wife and my second wife, everybody, thank you for helping.

COLIN JOST: Okay, okay, I think we all know the rules, or not. One more time, I’ll just set it up for us. A woman in Tennessee broke a hospital record after giving birth to a 13 pound baby, and go.

AMY POEHLER: A woman gave birth to a 13 pound baby which was so big he slapped the doctor on his ass

SETH MEYERS: Because a woman gave birth to a 13-pound baby. Damn, did she give birth to it or did she?

MICHAEL CHE: Did it drive out? Here’s a fun fact, the second the baby was out, the woman zipped around the room like a deflated balloon.
