Gordon Ramsay Buys Photograph of Marco Pierre White, Maybe Not Feuding Anymore
Is this really pathetic feud between Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White (that no one even really quite remembers how it started anymore) starting to fade, finally?
It may be: the Daily Mail reports that Ramsay “extended an olive branch” to White only a few decades after the whole she-bang started. (That she-bang, as you might recall, began when Ramsay began sniping that his mentor wasn’t that great of a chef, and then stole the reservation book from Aubergine out of fear of losing his job. You know, the stuff of mature men.) White was featured in a London photo gallery, thanks to a media blitz for the 25th anniversary of his iconic cookbook release, White Heat. Although Ramsay was MIA and in L.A., the Daily Mail reports that Ramsay called the gallery to buy one of the most expensive photographs of White there. And then:
Accepting the olive branch, Marco obligingly signed the back of the print: “For the Ram, with love from the Bull. X” …
… “Gordon has contributed a quote to White Heat 25 and they are back on friendly terms.
“Not very friendly but friendly.
“It’s a start, and only a matter of time before they are properly reunited over a long lunch.’”
Good thing — this feud was about as tired as every other chef feud on our list.
