WATCH: Ilan Hall Stages Pretend Knife Fight Between Al Roker and a Former Spice Girl

As you might have guessed, with the premiere of Esquire Network’s Knife Fight on the horizon, today is Ilan Hall Day (see here for a definition of celebrity days). Between a Daily Meal spread profiling his Los Angeles home (design porn!), Jimmy Fallon appearances, and a Today Show cooking demo this morning, Ilan is bonafide hustling his media blitz like a pro.

Case in point: instead of doing a boring Today Show demo with a bunch of sad omelet ingredients, he pitted Al Roker and Mel B. against each other to cook a dish in one minute for a mini-knife fight. Winner takes home a lame coffee mug (loser takes home a cute espresso cup). Who reigns victorious over breakfast? Check out the clip below to find out.
