JD Vance Instructs Americans to Snitch on People ‘Celebrating’ Murder of Charlie Kirk: ‘Call Their Employer’
Vice President JD Vance passionately urged Americans to call the employers of the “terrorist sympathizers” who are celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder, saying it will send a message that their heartlessness is not welcome in a civil society.
Vance shared his thoughts on how to handle people who have mocked the conservative activist after he was shot and killed in Utah last week during a scorched-earth rant at the end of The Charlie Kirk Show, which he was hosting on Rumble on Monday.
“When you see someone celebrating Charlie’s murder, call them out. And hell, call their employer,” Vance said. “We don’t believe in political violence, but we do believe in civility. And there is no civility in the celebration of political assassination.”
His comment comes after a number of companies, including Nasdaq, Office Depot, and MSNBC have fired employees for their comments following Kirk’s slaying.
The vice president, a few minutes earlier, said the “data is clear”: Democrats and left-wing Americans are much more likely to “defend and celebrate” political violence than Republicans. He pointed to one poll that showed 26% of young liberals believe political violence is sometimes justified, compared to only 7% of young conservatives who felt the same way.
“This is not a both-sides problem,” Vance said. “If both sides have a problem, one side has a much bigger and malignant problem, and that is the truth we must be told. That problem has terrible consequences.”
Vance pointed to the murder of Kirk, the assassination attempt against House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) in 2017, and the assassination attempts against President Donald Trump as clear examples of leftist violence.
“While our side of the aisle certainly has its crazies, it is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the left,” Vance said.
The vice president added that he and Stephen Miller, President Trump’s aide, are already working hard to dismantle left-wing organizations that promote violence.
“I’m desperate for our country to be united in condemnation of the actions and the ideas that killed my friend,” Vance added. “I want it so badly that I will tell you a difficult truth: We can only have it with people who acknowledge that political violence is unacceptable.”
