Biden Declares ‘Donald Trump Will Be The Nominee’ After NH Victory — Thanks Voters Who Delivered Huge Biden Write-In Win

President Joe Biden declared former President Donald Trump “will be the nominee” after Trump’s New Hampshire win, and thanked the voters who delivered an overwhelming victory for the Biden write-in campaign.

McEnany was on hand for Fox News Channel’s coverage of the New Hampshire primary, which was over barely more than an hour after polls closed. Trump was declared the victor with what figures to be a convincing if not massive, high single-digit or low double-digit margin.

But President Biden scored an even more overwhelming victory as a write-in candidate in the state’s unsanctioned Democratic primary. It was a disappointing result for challengers Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) and Marianne Williamson, who had hoped that Biden being left off the ballot could result in some sort of momentum-shifting

In a statement emailed to Mediaite, the president framed Trump as the presumptive victor in a way that sought to motivate voters — and thanked those who wrote him in:

It is now clear that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee. And my message to the country is the stakes could not be higher. Our Democracy. Our personal freedoms — from the right to choose to the right to vote. Our economy — which has seen the strongest recovery in the world since COVID. All are at stake.

I want to thank all those who wrote my name in this evening in New Hampshire. It was a historic demonstration of commitment to our democratic process. And I want to say to all those Independents and Republicans who share our commitment to core values of our nation — our Democracy, our personal freedoms, an economy that gives everyone a fair shot — to join us as Americans.

Let’s remember. We are the United States of America. And there is nothing — nothing — we can’t do if we do it together.
