Biden Gives One Word Answer On Worry Over Hamas Regrouping, 3 More on His Staying Involved With Gaza Ceasefire Deal

President Joe Biden delivered brief remarks on the hostage deal between Israel and the terror group Hamas Sunday, and was asked as he departed about his worries Hamas will regroup.

Biden spoke to reporters about the completion of the ceasefire deal in a short presser in South Carolina on his last day in office, saying that “the deal that I first put forward last May for the Middle East has finally come to fruition.”

“The ceasefire has gone into effect in Gaza, and today, we’re seeing hostages being released,” Biden said. “After so much pain, destruction, loss of life, today, the guns in Gaza have gone silent.”

As the president was leaving the podium after the less than 10 minute presser, he was asked by a reporter if he has concerns about Hamas “regrouping.”

“No,” came Biden’s one word reply.

Another reporter called out to ask whether he’ll remain involved with the deal as it moves forward.

“No way out,” Biden replied. He then tacked on “proud of the deal,” as he walked out.

BIDEN: They appear to be in good health, but it’s early to tell. They’re literally being – they may be across the border of the Gaza Strip into Israel now, I’m not certain. Thank you.

REPORTER 1: Sir, any concerns about Hamas regrouping?

BIDEN: No.

REPORTER 2: Will you remain involved in the deal as it moves forward.

BIDEN: No way out. Proud Of the deal.

REPORTER 2: Thank you, sir.

STAFFER: Thank you.
