BREAKING: Kilmar Abrego Garcia On His Way Back to United States From El Salvador

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is on his way back to the United States after being mistakenly deported to an El Salvadoran megaprison, ABC News reported.

Abrego Garcia is on his way back to the United States to face criminal charges for allegedly transporting illegal migrants within the country, ABC News reported, citing multiple sources. He is expected to land in the United States in the late afternoon on Friday, according to the report from Katherine Faulders, James Hill, and Alexander Mallin.

An indictment was reportedly filed under seal in Tennessee. Police footage out of Tennessee involving Garcia was previously released to the public. Garcia was pulled over for speeding in 2022 and the officers in the video at one point discuss whether Garcia is hauling migrants for money as his car was completely full.

“He’s hauling these people for money,” one of the troopers says in the video, though Abrego Garcia did not end up getting arrested and facing charges that night.

Abrego Garcia, 29, was sent to an El Salvadoran prison in what the administration admitted was an error. President Donald Trump and his officials maintained, however, that Abrego Garcia is a member of the MS-13 gang despite him having no gang-related convictions in his past. Abrego Garcia was in the country illegally living for more than a decade in Maryland. Abrego Garcia’s wife and attorney deny that he has ever been a member of MS-13.

The sealed indictment, according to those briefed on it, alleges that Abrego Garcia took part in a conspiracy over the course of nearly a decade in which thousands of illegal migrants, some minors, were transported within the United States.
