Donald Trump Claims His Administration is Proving Rudy Giuliani ‘100% Correct’ Over ‘Rigged Election’ Claims
President Donald Trump praised Rudy Giuliani after introducing the former New York mayor’s son as head of the White House’s World Cup Task Force.
Andrew Giuliani joined FIFA President Gianni Infantino in the Oval Office on Friday to announce when the draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup would take place.
Andrew Giuliani praised Trump’s leadership for bringing “the largest sporting event in the history of the world” to the United States.
Trump then took a moment to celebrate Rudy Giuliani, his former personal attorney who was disbarred in New York and Washington, D.C., after unrelentingly pushing Trump’s 2020 election lie. Trump said:
I just want to say one thing —Andrew Giuliani. So, his father is Rudy, the greatest mayor in the history of New York, I think, by far. He took a ravaged city, a city that was really under siege. Probably, most people thought it wasn’t going to survive. — he turned it around. He was a great, great mayor. Then they treated him very, very unfairly.
You go back and tell your father all of the things that have come out over the last couple of months, with Tulsi, and through all of the people, Kash, everybody. They’re proving your father 100% correct. His father was treated so unfairly. Your father has been 100% correct. Tell them we all love him. OK He’s amazing. What he had to go through was very, very unfair. Nasty. These are bad people.
Rudy Giuliani was ordered to pay $148 million in civil damages to two former Georgia election workers who sued him for defamation due to his election lies. Giuliani has since declared bankruptcy.
During his bankruptcy deposition, Giuliani claimed he had sought a $2 million payment from Donald Trump “any number of times” but had “never been paid for his services.”
