Fox’s Trey Yingst Reports Israel Intercepts Houthi Missile After Gaza Airstrikes Leave ‘Hundreds’ Dead

Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst reported on Tuesday that Israel intercepted a missile launched by the Houthis from Yemen following Israeli airstrikes that reportedly killed hundreds of people in Gaza.

Yingst joined anchor Sandra Smith on America Reports and said sirens were sounding across southern Israel after the ballistic missile launched by the Houthis was intercepted outside Israeli airspace. The missile launch followed a temporary ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. After talks for a permanent ceasefire stalled, Israel launched strikes in Gaza.

Yingst reported multiple “mid-level Hamas officials” were killed in the overnight strikes. Palestinian health authorities in the enclave, which is controlled by Hamas, said the strikes killed more than 400 people.

Nearly a quarter million people were taken out of southern Israel to bomb shelters, Yingst reported. Hamas continues to hold dozens of hostages out of the hundreds they kidnapped during their Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

“From now on, Israel will act against Hamas with increasing military force,” the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared in a statement. Netanyahu demanded the release of “all hostages — living and dead.”

The strikes come amidst “close coordination” between the United States and Israel, including American strikes over the weekend that targeted Houthis weapons storage facilities and more.

Yingst said:

“There is close coordination taking place right now between the Israelis and the Americans, not only as it relates to fighting inside the Gaza Strip, but also other regional Iranian proxies including the Houthis following those American strikes over the weekend that targeted not only weapons storage facilities, but also a number of headquarters and launching positions for the Houthis.”

Netanyahu will be addressing his nation on Tuesday evening to provide updates on the ongoing war.
