Muslim Congressional Candidate Booted from Kamala Harris Rally Without Explanation — Campaign Official Says He’s Invited to Future Events

Kamala Harris Taunts 'Weak' Trump At Rally For Refusing To Debate

A Muslim Democrat was removed from a Kamala Harris rally in Royal Oak, Michigan with any prior warning or explanation. He has yet to be given a reason.

Former congressional candidate Ahmed Ghanim was accepted an invitation to attend the Monday rally at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. According to Ghanim, he was suddenly approached by a woman from the Harris campaign and asked to follow her. He did as she asked, thinking that perhaps his seat was getting changed. He was then greeted by Secret Service agents and local police telling him he had to leave.

In a video posted online, Ghanim pressed officers for an explanation. One of them claimed that Ghanim was being kicked out by the venue and not law enforcement. When Ghanim asked for clarification on that response, a woman interjected and said, “Unfortunately, this is no longer a conversation,” and escorted him out of the building.

“They kicked me out without any reason, even after I received confirmation to attend and passed a security clearance at the gate,” Ghanim said in the tweet.

In a report from the Detroit Metro Times, Ghanim claims one of the officers even threatened to put him “in the back of my car.”

As noted in the Metro Times report, Ghanim has been critical of Israel’s military action in Gaza and the United States’s support of it. He lost in the Democratic primary to Rep. Haley Stevens, who is described as a “staunch” supporter of Israel. Ghanim, on the other hand, refers to Stevens as a “genocide enabler.”

The Harris campaign said in a statement that it “regrets” the incident and that Ghanim is invited to future events.

“The campaign was swiftly informed by Emgage Action of yesterday’s incident and looked into it,” the statement said. “Our campaign regrets this action and its impact on Dr. Ghanim and the community, and he is welcome at future events. We value our relationship with the Muslim American community and are committed to ensuring all community and political spaces are welcoming and respectful to every American.”
