‘Thank You So Much!’ Trump Fan On Rally Line Says Trump Tariffs ‘A Very Good Decision!’

A fan thanked President Donald Trump for his tariff policies, which have roiled markets even as workers in some U.S. industries see them as an engine for creating and protecting American jobs.

Trump gave a speech in Pittsburgh Friday to announce the U.S. Steel merger with Japan’s Nippon Steel, during which he also announced a steep increase in steel tariffs.

Fans lined up for hours in the rain before the rally, and Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) host Megan Kohler was there to interview Trump fans waiting in line — as is her outlet’s habit.

Kohler interviewed several supporters in hardhats and work vests, including a young woman named Lauren who was excited about the deal and Trump’s tariffs — hours before he doubled them:

MEGAN KOHLER: Hi there. Do you work in the steel industry?

TRUMP FAN LAUREN: Yes.

MEGAN KOHLER: What are your thoughts on this big partnership that President Trump just facilitated?

TRUMP FAN LAUREN: I think it’s awesome! It’s great. I can look forward to the future and know that I’m going to have my job.

MEGAN KOHLER: That’s great So do you work at this location here in Pittsburgh or another?

TRUMP FAN LAUREN: Yes, this location.

MEGAN KOHLER: What do you think this means for your community here?

TRUMP FAN LAUREN: It’s definitely going to bring more jobs to this area, for sure. So many investments everywhere. It’s Great. It’s amazing.

MEGAN KOHLER: Yeah, that’s awesome. What are your thoughts on more young people getting involved in the trades rather than taking the university slash corporate route?

TRUMP FAN LAUREN: I think they should actually. You know, there’s there’s a lot of jobs here. There’s, you know, more coming now and there’s going to be a lot more demand, you know, with the tariffs and everything that he’s doing.

MEGAN KOHLER: That’s great. So you see it as tariffs are protecting us against other countries driving down their costs and basically flooding our markets with the cheap goods.

TRUMP FAN LAUREN: Yeah, I think the tariffs are very, a very good decision!

MEGAN KOHLER: So any other message for RSBN viewers today?

TRUMP FAN LAUREN: Go Trump! Thank you so much!
