Trump Gives Stunning Free Speech Take On Outlets Who ‘Hit Trump’ In Air Force One Rant

President Donald Trump made a stunning declaration as he threatened the broadcast licenses of any outlet that spends too much time “hit(ting) Trump” in comments aboard Air Force One, declaring “They are not allowed to do that!”

The aftermath of the stunning Kirk killing has prompted what observers on all sides see as an assault on free speech. Trump Attorney General Pam Bondi has drawn criticism for threatening to go after people over “hate speech” — including mockery or celebration of Kirk’s assassination.

That escalated late this week as late-night host Jimmy Kimmel was suspended under intimidation from Trump and FCC chief Brendan Carr, and Trump announced he is designating Antifa a “terrorist organization.”

Trump emerged into the press cabin aboard Air Force One Thursday on the flight back from his trip to London, and in a rant about Kimmel declared that outlets that “hit Trump” are “not allowed to do that!”:

NIKKI SCHWAB: Who would you like to see replace Kimmel on late night?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: A lot of people, anybody could replace him. Guy had no talent. Kimmel had, look, he was fired. He had no talents. He’s a whack job, but he had no talent.

More importantly, the talent that he had, because a lot of have people have no talent, they get ratings.

But he had to ratings. His ratings were worse than Colbert, I think. They got rid of Colbert which was a good thing to do.

And look, that’s something that should be talked about for licensing too. When you have a network and you have evening shows and all they do is hit Trump, that’s all they do.

If you go back, I guess they haven’t had a conservative on in years or something, somebody said.

But when you go back and take a look, all they do is hit Trump. They’re licensed. They are not allowed to do that!

They are an arm of the Democrat party. Thank you, everybody.
