Trump RAGES In All-Caps Posting Bender After Criminal Immunity Appeal He Keeps Saying Went ‘Very Well’

Former President Donald Trump went on an all-caps posting bender about his claim of “absolute immunity” after he spent the day insisting his appeal went “very well.”

Trump showed up in court to listen to the oral arguments at a hearing on his claim of presidential immunity in the DC Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday. The appeal was heard by a three-judge panel consisting of Judge J. Michelle Childs, Judge Florence Pan, and Judge Karen LeCraft Henderson.

Following the hearing — at which his attorney argued that a president could order Seal Team Six to assassinate a political rival and not face prosecution unless he were impeached and convicted first — Trump and attorney John Lauro spoke to reporters for about ten minutes.

Trump’s remarks were so shot-through with falsehoods that CNN and MSNBC dumped out of the coverage, and included triumphant claims and a warning that if he were to lose the appeal “It will be bedlam in the country.”

Trump concluded by telling reporters he thought he and his defense team had “a very good day.”

But hours later, Trump took to Truth Social to rage about the immunity he is claiming, rattling off three all-caps posts on the topic.

1:

WITHOUT IMMUNITY, IT WOULD BE VERY HARD FOR A PRESIDENT TO ENJOY HIS OR HER “GOLDEN YEARS” OF RETIREMENT. THEY WOULD BE UNDER SIEGE BY RADICAL, OUT OF CONTROL PROSECUTORS, MUCH LIKE I AM, BUT WITHOUT THE RETIREMENT!!!

2:

IF THEY TAKE AWAY MY IMMUNITY, THEY TAKE AWAY CROOKED JOE BIDEN’S IMMUNITY. WITHOUT IMMUNITY, IT WOULD BE VERY HARD FOR A PRESIDENT TO PROPERLY FUNCTION!

3:

IF A PRESIDENT DOES NOT HAVE IMMUNITY, THE COURT WILL BE “OPENING THE FLOODGATES” TO PROSECUTING FORMER PRESIDENTS. AN OPPOSING HOSTILE PARTY WILL BE DOING IT FOR ANY REASON, ALL OF THE TIME!

Team Trump’s Seal Team Six argument was met with widespread derision.
