Trump-Supporting Immigrant Jailed by ICE Still Backs President, Husband Blames Biden

An Iranian woman who is currently being held in an immigrant detention facility still supports the man responsible for putting her there.
On June 30, agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 39-year-old Arpineh Masihi at her home in Diamond Bar, California. Her four children, aged four to 14 and all U.S. citizens born in California, were home at the time.
Nevertheless, she still backs President Donald Trump, who has initiated a mass deportation regime since taking office for the second time.
“He’s doing the right thing because lots of these people don’t deserve to be here,” Arpineh told the BBC via the phone from the Adelanto immigrant detention centre in the Mojave Desert.
She added, “I will support him until the day I die. He’s making America great again.”
The BBC reported that Masihi was convicted of burglary and grand theft in 2008. A judge revoked her green card, but allowed her to remain in the country because she maintained that as a Christian, the Iranian government might persecute her.
When ICE agents came to her house last month, Masihi insisted she was allowed to be in the U.S. However, agents told her that her status had changed.
Her husband, Arthur Sahakyan, faults not Trump, but former President Joe Biden.
“I don’t blame Trump, I blame Biden,” he told the BBC. “It’s his doing for open borders, but I believe in the system and all the good people will be released and the ones that are bad will be sent back.”
Masihi told the publication that the conditions at the camp where she is being held are less than ideal.
“Arpineh told the BBC she was held in a freezing, brightly lit room with 28 other women for three days,” the report said. “They survived on snacks and one bottle of water a day, she says, the women huddling together for warmth, and sleeping on the floor.”
Nevertheless, Masihi is maintaining an optimistic disposition.
“I’m not deportable to any country,” Arpineh told the BBC. “I have four citizen children. I own a business. I own a property. I own cars.”
