Jim Acosta Taunts Trump Amid Election Night Sweep: ‘Getting His A** Handed To Him!’

Podcast host and independent journalist Jim Acosta taunted President Donald Trump as Democrats swept a series of elections, exclaiming that Trump “is getting his a** handed to him!”

Tuesday night saw a string of Democratic victories in hotly anticipated races. Former Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) defeated Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears in a race that was called in less than half an hour.

New Jersey was the next domino to fall as Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) beat Trump-endorsed former state assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli (R-NJ). Then, Queens Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani (D-NY) easily defeated former Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) in a race that Trump was heavily involved in. Governor Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) Prop 50 passed by nearly 30 points.

But on a special Election Night edition of The Jim Acosta Show, it was the Virginia attorney general’s race that stunned Acosta as he hosted January 6 cop Michael Fanone and ex-Trump aide Olivia Troye. The victory of Attorney General-elect Jay Jones despite a scandal over text messages told Acosta that the night was truly a rout:

JIM ACOSTA: Wait a minute, okay, just real quick, Mike, Decision Desk HQ, now, I mean, I’ll be really p*ssed at these guys if they f*ck this up!

They’re now saying that Jay Jones may have won the attorney general’s race in Virginia.

Now, if that is the case, that is a huge deal, folks, because Jay Jones, he kind of sh*t the bed a little bit, sent out some terrible texts a few years ago.

I talked to the Speaker of the House of Delegates a few days ago and he was saying he knows Jay Jones’s family, he knows Jay Jones, swears up and down, this is not who Jay Jones is.

Anyway, it looks as though he may have won that race too. Mike, I mean, Trump’s getting his *ss handed to him tonight!

MIKE FANONE: Yeah, great! Good! (LAUGHTER) You know, America hates Donald Trump. At least the vast majority of us do.

And… you know, I’m– It’s about damn time that people woke up to what a destructive, divisive, absolute corrupt piece of sh*t Donald Trump is. And, um, I hope this trend continues through the midterms.

JIM ACOSTA: Yeah.

MIKE FANONE: I hope Americans can, uh. Continue to, um. Wake up and pay attention, stay alert. Um, cause we haven’t, I mean, this is by no stretch of the imagination the end of this administration. This is literally just the beginning of what might possibly be the end of this administration.
