Megyn Kelly Declares That Barack and Michelle Obama ‘Married the Wrong People’

Megyn Kelly declared former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama “married the wrong people” after listening to the latter discuss her views on marriage.

On The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly and guest Maureen Callahan, who is hosting a show for Kelly’s MK Media, reacted to former the former first lady discussing marriage on her own podcast, IMO.

“If the odds were you’re going to be married to your partner for 50 years and 10 of those years could be bad, you know?” Obama said. “You’d sign up for it, you know? And that’s really how it works out.”

Kelly cringed at the clip of Obama and questioned the former first lady’s logic.

“Is it, Michelle? I’ve been married for 17 and a half years and not one was bad. I think she and he married the wrong people,” Kelly said, claiming most of Michelle Obama’s talk about her husband is negative.

Barack and Michelle Obama have been married since 1992 and they share two children. Kelly wedded her husband Douglas Brunt in 2008 and they share three children. Kelly’s previous marriage ended in divorce in 2006.

Callahan was in agreement with Kelly, arguing Michelle Obama’s comments on marriage that have come out of her recently-launched podcast — some of which have sparked divorce conspiracy theories among critics — suggest the former president is viewed as a “ball of dead weight.”

“This is only her third episode. I can’t think of anybody I would go to for advice less than Michelle Obama. She really doesn’t know what she’s talking about,” she said. “First of all, she loves to tell us she hated Barack for a good decade. Please, teach me how to have a successful relationship with someone you clearly respect and admire. Every time she’s on the air, it’s like, ‘I’m dragging this ball of dead weight behind me. His name? Barack Obama.’
