‘Proven Liar’: DNC Torches NBC For Hiring Ex-RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel

NBC received criticism from the Democratic National Committee for hiring “proven liar” former Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

DNC Chair Jamie Harrison bashed NBC in a statement, claiming the news outlet should not employ someone who promoted “MAGA lies and deceit” and labeled McDaniel a lackey for former President Donald Trump.

McDaniel appeared for an interview on Sunday’s Meet the Press where she was grilled by Kristen Welker for defending Trump’s claims of election fraud during the 2020 presidential race. Moments later, Chuck Todd also appeared on the show and called out the network bosses for hiring the former RNC chair.

Despite the interview, Harrison did not hold back on bashing NBC, claiming the hiring of McDaniel’s “does a disservice to the journalists who put themselves in harm’s way to cover the violence and brutality at the Capitol.”

“Lying about the 2020 election results culminated in Donald Trump encouraging his supporters to stop the peaceful transfer of power,” he wrote. “Allowing one of the key architects of that shameful period in our country the platform to whitewash her role in what happened, and then provide ongoing ‘commentary’ about American politics, does a disservice to the journalists who put themselves in harm’s way to cover the violence and brutality at the Capitol so the American people knew the facts.”

“There should be no debate about the truth in our political discourse. Ronna McDaniel is a proven liar, and has no place in an honest and objective conversation about the future of this country,” Harrison concluded.
