Eagles Fan Shoved by Buffalo Bills Player During Heated Exchange in the Middle of the Game

Trash talk between Philadelphia Eagles fans and Buffalo Bills players nearly spiraled out of control when a player actually shoved a fan in the middle of a game.

As the teams were playing on the field, several Bills players on the sideline seemed to take exception to something an Eagles fan was saying. Multiple cameras caught the players — led by defensive tackle Jordan Phillips — approaching the man in the crowd. Unfazed by the crowd of players in front of him, the man continued taunting them. That’s when defensive end Shaq Lawson took it a step further by shoving the man back. The fan, along with several others, pointed at him in response to the physical contact. Multiple other Bills players, along with security, then came over to break up the exchange.

According to Dan Fetes of Buffalo Plus, a spokesperson said the team is looking into the incident. As of Monday morning, it’s unknown what was said that prompted Phillips to approach the fan.

Earlier in the game, Phillips was on the field when the Eagles attempted their unique quarterback sneak known as the “Brotherly Shove.” Before the ball was even snapped, however, Phillips bull-rushed right through Eagles right guard Cam Jurgens and was flagged for encroachment.

Some viewed it as a dirty play by Phillips, so it’s possible that made him a target for Eagles fans behind the Bills sideline.
