ESPN insider Adam Schefter’s account of what’s going on with the Philadelphia Eagles seems to differ greatly from what Fox Sports host Craig Carton has said.

Carton said on Tuesday’s episode of The Carton Show that there was some kind of irreparable rift within the organization. He described it as “problem that would splinter any group of men” and that “it cannot be fixed.” Carton left it at that while maintaining he knows what the problem was.

The next morning, Schefter appeared on the Philly radio station 97.5 The Fanatic and was asked about Carton’s scoop. Schefter revealed he reached out to a source within the organization who flatly denied the report.

“I texted someone in the organization yesterday,” Schefter said, “and the text I got back was, ‘None of that ‘S’ happened.'”

Despite Schefter’s report, Carton insisted he knew what the problem while also taking shots at the Eagles fans who called him out.

“Eagles fans are funny,” Carton tweeted. “Tough guys 4 sure but apparently also a bunch of snowflakes – whining all day about me saying I know what happened in Philly – didn’t say what it is just that I know what it is – interesting off season for sure – maybe even adding Saquon [Barkley] to replace [D’Andre] Swift.

“Eagles say there are no locker room issues and u sheep just follow along and go baaaa, baaaa – like its the gospel yet every story from December/January about them was the locker room discord leading into the loss to Tampa – more tomorrow on @fs1 – have a blessed day Me-1 You -0.”
