Alan Dershowitz Suggests Epstein Killed Himself ‘With the Help of Jailers’

Former Jeffrey Epstein lawyer Alan Dershowitz rejected the assertion that the late sex offender was murdered in his prison cell, suggesting instead that Epstein killed himself “with the help of jailers.”

During a Thursday interview with Dershowitz about Epstein – whose 2019 death was ruled a suicide – Real America’s Voice host Eric Bolling asked, “Did he commit suicide? A lot of people think it was, you know, some people who were gonna get exposed had a hand in his death.”

“He was in jail awaiting trial when he, I think, killed himself with the help of jailers,” replied Dershowitz. “I don’t think he could have done it by himself.”

Dershowitz made the same suggestion in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal last week.

“It is clear from the evidence that Epstein committed suicide. What isn’t clear is whether he was assisted by jail personnel,” wrote Dershowitz. “That seems likely to me, based on the evidence of allegedly broken cameras, transfer of his cellmate, and the absence of guards during relevant time periods.”

He added, “I have absolutely no doubt that Epstein never worked for any intelligence agency. If he had, he would surely have told me and his other lawyers, who would have used that information to get him a better deal.”

During his interview with Bolling on Thursday, Dershowitz also called for the release of Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for child sex trafficking.

“She is really serving Jeffrey Epstein’s sentence,” said Dershowitz. “So she’s appealing now and I hope the appeal will be granted. She deserves to be out.”

The Trump administration has repeatedly rejected claims – including those made by Epstein’s own brother – that the late sex offender was murdered in his prison cell.

“He killed himself,” said Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino in June. “I’ve seen the whole file.”
