Bill Clinton Doesn’t Think He Could Have Pardoned Himself: ‘None Of Us Ever Considered That’
Former President Bill Clinton was asked Tuesday night about whether or not he thought he could have pardoned himself when he was in office.
President Trump took to Twitter earlier this week, making the bold claim that he has the “absolute right” to pardon himself, but added “why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong?”
As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself, but why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong? In the meantime, the never ending Witch Hunt, led by 13 very Angry and Conflicted Democrats (& others) continues into the mid-terms!

Well, Stephen Colbert wanted to get a second opinion.
“As President, do you think you could pardon yourself?” Colbert asked.
“No,” Clinton firmly responded.
The Late Show host then mentioned that Emmet Flood, who previously served on Clinton’s legal team during the impeachment trial and had joined the Trump legal team earlier this year, and asked if he ever talked about him pardoning himself, which Clinton said he never did.
“None of us ever considered that,” Clinton told Colbert.
The former president then explained that before any interview or news conference, a president typically does a “murder board” which involves responding to tough questions, something he admitted he should have done during his scandal.
Colbert asked author James Patterson if President Trump is a “believable character.”
“Some of the things that are going on, I mean there just was a thing today, just recently, about him possibly bringing Rodman to Singapore,” Patterson said. “As a fiction writer, it’s hard to keep up with— I mean, that’s tough competition.”
