Bill Clinton Suggests Racist Code in ‘Make America Great Again,’ But He Said It Years Ago

bill clintonBill Clinton said on the campaign trail this week that there’s some racist code in Donald Trump‘s slogan “Make America Great Again.”

“That message––I’ll give you America great again––If you’re a white southerner,” Clinton said, “you know exactly what it means, don’t you? It means I’ll give you the economy you had 50 years ago and I’ll move you back up the social totem pole and other people down.”

Now, the only problem here is that Clinton has used “Make America Great Again” in the past.

He himself used the phrase when he announced his run for the presidency in 1991.

Oh, and he used the phrase in a 2008 ad for his wife.

Fox News showed a montage of the past times he said it. You can watch that, along with Clinton’s comments this week, above.
