Bill O’Reilly Way Out In Front, Countdown With O’Donnell Best on MSNBC

Cable news ratings, July 27, 2009: Check out the highlights, and see the full ratings below:

• Bill O’Reilly won big for Fox News last night, with, averaging 917,000 in the A25-54 demo and 3,488,000 in total viewers. It was, as it usually is, the best cable news program. It matched his total viewer average from the previous Monday.

• Lawrence O’Donnell guest hosted Countdown at 8pmET on MSNBC last night, and it was MSNBC’s top-rated program in both total viewers and the demo. Howard Dean hosts tonight.

• Anderson Cooper was the top-rated show on CNN last night, at 10pmET, in both categories. It was 3rd to MSNBC’s Countdown repeat, however in the demo (and 2nd in total viewers).

• In the ongoing battle for 2nd place in prime time, MSNBC was #2 in total viewers and the demo.
