Cable’s Top 40 Last Week: Palin, Conan, O’Reilly… And Of Course, SpongeBob
The top 40 shows on cable last week involved some new entries to the mix – Sarah Palin and Conan O’Brien – and some that are usually around – NFL and SpongeBob.
And while Bill O’Reilly regularly is the top cable news show, his Fox News program showed up on the top cable shows list as well. Here are the details:
• The top program was ESPN’s Monday Night Football, by far.
• SpongeBob was #2 and #3, and had 16 of the top 40. SpongeBob.
• AMC’s new series Walking Dead was #4.
• Sarah Palin’s Alaska was #6.
• Conan’s first show was #22.
• The O’Reilly Factor‘s mid-week shows, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, came in #33, #34 and #35.
• As for cable news programs as a whole, Fox News was 3rd in prime time on all of cable, while MSNBC was 25th and CNN was 33rd. In total day, FNC ranked 7th, followed by MSNBC 28th and CNN 34th.
