CNN Analyst Speculates That Shooter Targeted School Because It Was ‘Gun Free Zone’

CNN military analyst Rick Francona brought up the suggestion this afternoon that the Oregon school shooter may have specifically targeted the school because it was a “gun free zone.”

Francona brought up the same issue gun rights activists have brought up after other horrible shootings, that in gun free zones people are unable to defend themselves and so that’s why some crazy person with a gun might target that area.

Francona said, “If you’re going to perpetrate some act, you know that most people are not going to be armed.”
