CNN Guest: Did Dolezal ‘Take Opportunities Away’ from Other Black Women?

A CNN guest this afternoon said she was bothered by how Rachel Dolezal “pretending to be black” may have taken opportunities away from black women.

Criminal defense attorney Midwin Charles spoke with Ashleigh Banfield shortly after Dolezal announced she’s stepping down from the Spokane NAACP. Charles said that Dolezal, whatever good works she may have done, is a “pathological liar.”

Banfield admitted she’s not really sure how offensive this is. Charles said she’s not offended, but did add, “What bothers me… is that has she taken opportunities away from African-American women by pretending to be black?”
