CNN Loses to MSNBC in Total Viewers, Demo During Primetime Primary Night Coverage
You may have missed that last night was another primary night (Washington state was up for grabs), and when all was said and done, CNN ended up losing to MSNBC throughout primetime.
Chris Hayes got 846K total viewers and 235K in the demo, while Anderson Cooper got 680K total and 192K in the 25-54 demo.
Rachel Maddow beat CNN with 1.161 million viewers to Don Lemon‘s 512K (283K to 129K in the demo). And Lawrence O’Donnell got 827K total to CNN’s 579K in its special election coverage, and 177K to 157K in the demo.
CNN did end up overtaking MSNBC in the 11 pm hour, with 711K total and 219K in the demo to 521K and 171K respectively for MSNBC.
Meanwhile, Fox News had a good week last week––ranking #3 among all cable networks in primetime viewers and #2 in total day viewers.
