CNN Panel on Stormy Daniels Goes Off the Rails: ‘Are You a Hypocrite or a Bigot?!’
A confrontational CNN panel between Women for Trump co-founder Amy Kremer and former Bill Clinton aide Keith Boykin on the impact of the Stormy Daniels controversy went off the rails after accusations of bigotry and hypocrisy were raised against Republicans.
Boykin began the discussion by pointing to the polling numbers that show an opinion swing of white evangelical voters between Donald Trump and Barack Obama and Clinton, as a sizable portion of the group had no issue with the Republican’s moral failings but did not show the same grace to the Democrats.
“So, there’s clearly a hypocrisy there between white evangelicals so critical of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, but when Donald Trump comes into office they’re willing to excuse it,” chided Boykin.
Kremer defended her fellow white evangelicals by suggesting Trump was just “elected to do a job” and was not supported for his personal values. She went on to call Trump’s alleged affair with a porn star “a bunch of noise” that voters don’t care about — suggesting that Daniels is only in the news because “sex sells.”
However, CNN host Erin Burnett didn’t buy Kremer’s talking points.
“I actually don’t think the sex part of this is selling at all,” argued the anchor. “I have to be pretty honest, the sex part is pretty disgusting.”
Boykin then ferociously jumped back into discussion by calling out the Women For Trump chief for defending the president’s “pussy grabbing” and “stuff that’s going on with porn stars.” He continued by bringing up her support for loser GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore, despite the serious allegations against him, and name dropping Barack Obama.
“You know what you said? ‘Barack Obama doesn’t love America.’ What’s the difference between Barack Obama, Roy Moore, and Donald Trump?” questioned Boykin. “Barack Obama is a black man and those two are white men.”
“Are you a hypocrite or a bigot? Which is it?” he added.
Kremer shrugged off the accusations of racism by saying she likes “Barack Obama as a person,” but disagrees with “his ideology.”
