Dan Rather: Media’s Underestimating Trump, Should Give Him ‘Maximum Coverage’

Dan Rather said tonight that if he were calling the shots on covering Donald Trump, he would be “giving him the maximum coverage.”

Rather spoke to Billy Bush on Access Hollywood tonight and said that Trump is a “center star” and the media is actually underestimating his chances and his appeal in the GOP race.

That’s not to say Rather was defending Trump or anything. He did say his John McCain remarks run the risk of making him “despicable” and that “you’re more likely to see water run uphill” than to see Trump ever apologize for something.
