Elizabeth Warren, Who’s Totally Not Running for President, Thinks Hillary Is ‘Terrific’

Speculation that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) would challenge Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination in 2016 had been brewing long before he released something that looks an awful lot like a campaign memoir, A Fighting Chance, this week. But in an interview with ABC News’ David Muir set to air Monday evening, Warren insists that she’s not running for president.
In this preview clip from tonight’s interview, Muir asked Warren to respond to headline like last November’s “Hillary’s Nightmare” in The New Republic that single her out as the biggest threat to a Clinton presidency.
“I don’t get who writes these headlines or what they’re about,” Warren told him “I think there’s just kind of a pundit world out there.”
“I’m not running for president,” she added definitively, before repeating it for emphasis. Asked if she thought Hillary Clinton would make a good president, Warren said, “I think Hillary Clinton is terrific,” before admonishing Muir a bit for taking her down that road. “We gotta stay focused on these issues right now,” she said, speaking presumably about her new book’s primary focus on economic inequality.
