Fox Anchor to Trump Spox: Can’t He Just Do the ‘Polite Thing’ and Apologize?

Fox’s Martha MacCallum confronted Donald Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson earlier today on why Trump can’t just apologize for his nasty remarks about women.

Pierson dismissed Trump’s yuge unfavorables with women and said he’s clearly not a sexist. MacCallum suggested he should just publicly explain “he said things” and regrets them now and doesn’t want to be “mean-spirited.”

Pierson said, “Because it’s the politically correct thing to say!”

“No, it’s not!” MacCallum interjected. “It’s the polite thing to say, Katrina! In this case, it’s just the polite thing to say, and it’s what I would imagine he would expect from his children and anyone else!”

Pierson insisted he’s an equal-opportunity counterpuncher.
