Fox & Friends Gushes Over Karoline Leavitt in WH Exit Interview — Plays Montage of Her Bashing Reporters in Briefing Room

Fox & Friends celebrated White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt in her last official TV interview in her current role with a montage of her tussling with reporters and a special guest.

Leavitt joined Lawrence Jones, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade on Thursday morning on her last day as press secretary. She’ll remain involved in the administration as a top adviser to President Donald Trump. She said her decision comes down to wanting to spend more time with family after the birth of her second child in May.

“You have mastered knowing where the president stands on every issue, you were definitely an upgrade at the podium,” Jones told Leavitt at the top of the interview.

Kilmeade later echoed that sentiment, telling Leavitt, “You did a fantastic job.”

After running through multiple topics with Leavitt on the midterms and Iran war, Leavitt took a trip down memory lane as she was shown a montage of her sparring with reporters like CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during her time as press secretary.

In one March clash, Leavitt told Collins she and her network spun everything to make the president look “bad” in a tense back-and-forth on service members lost during the Iran war.

In another clip from January, The Hill’s Niall Stanage and Leavitt went at it over the ICE shooting and killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis. Leavitt blasted Stanage as a “left-wing hack.”

Similar instances from 2025 were included in the montage.

Leavitt said in reaction to the clips:

Good times, great memories. There’s nothing like stepping before that podium. I’ll just tell you, I’m so grateful to the presidency for believing in me and giving me a chance to do it. So many people told him when he was considering me for his job after of course I worked for him on his historic 2024 campaign that I was too young and he ignored the doubters and gave me a chance and I’m forever grateful to him for that. He’s the best president our nation has ever had, but he is the best boss and I’m grateful he understands my decision to leave this amazing job to spend more time with my kids and I just love him. There will never be another like him. That’s for sure.

“Karoline, we are so happy for you,” Earhardt told Leavitt. “You’ve done a great job. You’re the youngest press secretary ever, so you made history, and you handled it with grace.”

She then brought out a special guest, Fox News host Dana Perino, the former press secretary under former President George W. Bush.

Leavitt described her as a “mentor,” and Perino called Leavitt similar to a “little sister” to her.

Perino added:

One thing she showed, if you had a question for Karoline about the president or government and you went to her and she told you the answer, you could take it to the bank. She had access to the president and trust of the president and more importantly, I think, you had the trust of your colleagues. You have to be the person who can fairly represent everything coming in.

And at her young age to have that kind of poise, grace, wit, and grit is incredible, but also when she’s not on camera, the self deprecation is adorable. I think that one time she told me that her older brothers kept her grounded and they don’t think of her as press secretary, they think of her as a little sister. I kind of think of her as a little sister too and I’m so excited too for you future, Karoline.
