Fox News Announces New Long-Form Specials Division

Fox NewsFox News announced today that they’re putting together a new division focusing on long-form television specials. This new division joins Fox’s current news and programming divisions at the network.

Fox News Executive Vice President Michael Clemente is moving to oversee the new unit as Executive Vice President of News Specials, while Jay Wallace––Fox’s Senior Vice President of News and Politics––has been promoted to replace Clemente in his current position.

Clemente is overseeing the development and production of all of Fox’s special taped programming (along with live events). Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes said in a statement, “Michael’s wide-ranging broadcast background is perfect for this position — I’m confident that his extensive experience in long-form producing will result in development and execution of high quality specials.”

Meanwhile, Wallace is now managing all of Fox’s news division, including its election coverage and debates/town halls.
