Fox Newser: Anderson Cooper Lacks Modesty, His Egypt Coverage Was “Incoherent”

Fox News commentator Liz Trotta unleashed a series of complaints about how Anderson Cooper covered the story in Egypt this past week. She faulted the media at large for not demonstrating a skepticism of the Muslim Brotherhood and for anchors just “dropping-in” until they got roughed up, although her harshest words were reserved for Cooper.

Claiming Cooper’s performance was “really shocking,” she was most annoyed by the fact that Cooper accused Egyptian President Mubarak of lying when she considered such an opinion to be outside of Cooper’s purview. Instead she suggested Cooper’s sense of betrayal should not have been reflected in his reporting, a fact that “any correspondent worth his salt knows.”

And just when you think she’s done with Cooper criticism, she also revealed she’s peeved about his appearance on David Letterman where he discussed getting pummeled. Trotta wondered “hasn’t the man any modesty at all – forget journalistic ethics, doesn’t he have any personal modesty?”
