Fox News Doesn’t Make New Offer to Renew Jill Dobson’s Contract

Mediaite has obtained a farewell letter from the now former Fox New correspondent Jill Dobson, whose days on the ratings-dominant cable news channel appear to be over. Dobson served as a television entertainment correspondent for FNC, and regularly appeared on a number of shows across the network, but was most frequently seen on Fox and Friends and Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld. A Fox News insider said Dobson was low on their priority list, and the network didn’t make a new offer to renew her contract. Her deal expired today.

The rumors are true… Lindsay Lohan is in rehab. Mel Gibson’s ex-wife defends him. And yes, I’m departing FNC to pursue other career opportunities.
If the thought of suddenly losing another true star of the network (ha!) so soon after Jane Skinner’s abrupt departure has you reeling, don’t fear. We can commiserate over drinks next door tonight. I’m buying! (OK, I’m totally not buying.) I’ll be there roughly 5:30-10:30 tonight – not because I’m hankering for a 5-hour-long bender, but because hopefully no matter what show you work on, you’ll be able to make it.
