Fox Priest: Duggars Shouldn’t Lose Show, Still Better Role Models than Most Reality Stars
On Fox & Friends Sunday, Father Jonathan Morris said the Duggars shouldn’t lose their reality show because they’re still better role models for people than most other reality show stars.
TLC has already pulled 19 Kids and Counting from its schedule, and the current rumor is the network may just continue with a spinoff focused on the newly-married Duggar sisters.
Morris said it probably wouldn’t be the best idea to let Josh Duggar back on the show, given his public confession to molestation, but scolded “secular headlines” that have made the Duggars out to be bad people.
“I don’t think we can now say the whole family’s some sort of bad example,” Morris said. “Think of what’s on television right now. How about the Kardashians? Great examples? How about the real wives of Hollywood or New Jersey?”
Though to be fair, when you say that a family is morally better than the rest of what’s on reality TV, you’re setting a pretty low bar there.
