Fox’s Beckel Weighs in on Women’s ‘Stripper’ Shoes (High Heels)
Fresh off calling ABC’s latest Bachelorette a “slut” for sleeping with two men from the show, Fox News’s Bob Beckel threw out more gender role analysis Monday: high heels are stripper shoes.
The Five co-hosts discussed women’s shoemaker Nine West’s controversial ad campaign that pairs up types of shoes for different occasions, including “husband hunting” and “the walk of shame.”
Andrea Tantaros said she doesn’t buy shoes based on those type of occasions. “I buy it (a type of shoe) because it looks nice on my leg,” she said to Beckel. “Don’t men notice a nice pair of legs in high heels?”
“Well, they do in a stripper club,” Beckel said, also stating that he didn’t really understand the ad campaign. “Are you serious about this? This is supposed to help you get a husband? Whoever buys into that deal, man, must be a lousy husband.”
