HBO Developing Game Change Sequel About 2012 Election
With every morning comes the sun, and now with every presidential election comes a book by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann that will eventually be made into an HBO movie.
The Hollywood Reporter does its own namesake and reports that the new book, Double Down: Game Change 2012, will be an insiders’ look at this year’s presidential election. It is scheduled to hit shelves by fall 2013.
Oh, and HBO has already optioned the book for another film. The writer-director duo behind the Emmy-winning Game Change about the 2008 election is likely to return with Jay Roach behind the camera and Danny Strong penning the script.
And so, Mediaite readers, while we await the final product, we shall take bets: Who will play Karl Rove? Will Julianne Moore make a cameo as Sarah Palin pundit-ing on Fox after each debate? Who will play Big Bird? And, most of all, who will play the binder full of women?
