Hillary: Obama Critics Will Never Be Happy, No Matter What He Does

Hillary Clinton fielded a question during her CNN town hall today about whether criticism of President Obama is racist. And while she all but completely dismissed the idea, Clinton did say that a large swath of Obama critics will simply “never be happy or satisfied” with him, no matter what he does.

Clinton said there are plenty of “virulent” opinions people hold about Obama that are rather detached from the job he has to do, but said that it’s important for any politician to just “shut out” all the criticism they get on a daily basis to get things done.

When Christiane Amanpour pressed her on the racism issue, Clinton said she didn’t want to “generalize too broadly,” but she did admit she believes people are “not developing a reasoned opinion” of the president and they’re instead reacting on a “visceral, stereotypical basis.”
