Ingraham on Fox: With ‘Nuclear Option’ Dems Threw Gas on ‘Brushfire of Partisanship’

Guest-hosting for Bill O’Reilly Thursday night, Laura Ingraham piled on the Democrats for limiting “one of the few tools” any minority party in Washington has to voice their dissent in an effective manner, and warned that Democrats will immediately regret this decision the second they end up in the Senate minority again.

She said the Democrats seem to be struck with a “wicked case of amnesia,” because it wasn’t too long ago when they condemned attempts by Republicans to limit the filibuster, with even President Obama saying in 2005 that doing so would fuel partisan rankor. Ingraham argued that this time, it’s the Democrats who “ended up throwing gasoline on the brushfire of partisanship.”

But it won’t last long. Parties fall in and out of favor all the time, and Ingraham warned, “If [Republicans] take back the Senate on the heels of the Obamacare implosion, the Democrats may regret going to DefCon 1.” She said the Republicans should no longer “waste time” working together with Democrats after this blatant, “rank power grab.”
