JD Vance Waffles When Confronted About Mark Robinson Denying ‘Black Nazi’ Porn Posts: ‘I Don’t Not Believe Him’

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) spoke out of both sides of his mouth Sunday morning after he was asked if he believed North Carolina Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson when the latter said he never declared to have been a “Black Nazi” on a porn forum more than a decade ago.

CNN’s KFILE reported Thursday it had unearthed comments linked to an email for the Trump-backed gubernatorial candidate wherein he proclaimed himself a “Black Nazi” and also appeared to enjoy pornographic content that featured transgender women with penises. CNN reported:

In the pornographic forums, Robinson revealed his unvarnished thoughts on issues such as race, gender and abortion. Writing in a forum discussing Black Republicans in October 2010, Robinson stated unprovoked: “I’m a black NAZI!” That same month, Robinson wrote in another post that he supported the return of slavery.

“Slavery is not bad. Some people need to be slaves. I wish they would bring it (slavery) back. I would certainly buy a few,” he wrote.

Robinson has denied writing the comments.

On Sunday’s edition of Meet the Press on NBC, host Kristen Welker noted former President Donald Trump had endlessly praised Robinson, which the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris had seized on.

Welker also shared a clip of Vance, Trump’s running mate, being asked by Lauren Mayk of NBC Philadelphia about the Robsinon controversy.

Mayk asked Vance, “Are you comfortable with Mark Robinson as the Republican nominee for governor of North Carolina?”

Vance replied, “Well, look. the allegations are out there, but the allegations aren’t necessarily reality, and what I say it’s up to Mark Robinson and North Carolina whether he wants to be their governor and whether he wants to stay in the race.”

Mayk pressed him, “Do you believe him that those were not his posts?”

Vance responded, “I don’t believe him, I don’t not believe him. I just think that you have to sometimes let these things play out in the court of public opinion.”

Trump has not publicly commented on the Robinson scandal after having previously compared the candidate to Martin Luther King Jr.
