Jesse Watters Says Trump Can’t Be Racist Because He ‘Dated Black Women’

Fox News host Jesse Watters cited Donald Trump’s dalliance with a woman who is half-Black as evidence that the former president is not racist.

On Friday’s installment of The Five, the co-hosts reacted to President Joe Biden’s speech in Pennsylvania, where he slammed Trump and his failed attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, which he lost. His remarks were meant to coincide with the third anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, which Trump helped inspire by falsely claiming the election was rigged against him.

“I am so tired of Joe Biden running on January 6th,” Watters said. “If I were Donald Trump, I’d run on July 4th. No one is more patriotic than Donald Trump. And I remember back in like the late ’80s, he was talking about the Japanese ripping us off while Joe Biden was blocking a Black man from the court.”

The host was referring to Biden’s opposition to the nomination of Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court in 1991.

Watters went on to rip Biden on China and the southern border before criticizing the president’s remarks about Trump and race.

“And the racism thing has to stop,” he added. “Donald Trump dated Black women. Has Joe Biden ever dated a Black woman? Donald Trump was palling around with Don King when your guy was palling around with segregationists.”

Presumably, Watters was referring to model Kara Young, whom Trump dated in the 1990s. She was born to a Black mother and a White father.

Watters tried to continue, but he was interrupted by a Fox News alert.
