Jon Karl to Earnest: Does Obama Still Think Trump’s ‘Uniquely Unqualified’ to Be POTUS?

During today’s White House press briefing, ABC’s Jon Karl asked what all of us are really dying to know after that historic meeting between President Obama and President-elect Donald Trump.

He brought up how Obama said many times, including this week, that Trump is temperamentally unfit and “uniquely unqualified” to be president. So he asked Earnest if that’s changed.

Earnest responded, “The president’s views haven’t changed. He stands by what he said on the campaign trail. He had an opportunity to make his argument, he made that argument vigorously.”

But Earnest concluded that Obama didn’t get to choose his successor, the people did.
