Kasich: ‘Completely Inappropriate’ for Priebus to Endorse Trump After Indiana

kasichAfter Donald Trump won Indiana, Reince Priebus called him the presumptive GOP nominee on Twitter, which John Kasich now says he wasn’t very happy about.

Remember, this came after Ted Cruz dropped out, but before Kasich did the same the next day. Kasich talked to Anderson Cooper tonight and said he dropped out because he didn’t want to keep campaigning with the sole purpose of blocking Trump from getting enough delegates to win the nomination.

Cooper asked him if he thought he dropped out too soon. Kasich brought up the “endorsement” from Priebus and said, “I thought [it] was completely inappropriate.”

Kasich said he understood that Priebus was trying to kickstart GOP unity, but said he wasn’t at all happy about it.
